Exciting Update!!!
We recently met with an interested buyer who wants to keep Heidelberg just as it is! Wayne and the buyer have come to an agreement to continue boarding, producing our supplements and food, and maintaining regular operations to ensure a smooth transition.
If you tried to make a reservation beyond May 28th, but were unable to due to our previously announced closing date, call the office and we’ll get you taken care of!

Our Standard for Preservation
Heidelberg German Shepherds are bred Especially for Outstanding Predictable Temperament, Intelligence & Health. Heidelberg Shepherds are much larger in size than most German Shepherds but are very harmonious physically with Exceptionally large bone. Our Males and Females are very deep chested as specified in the Standard for the German Shepherd with the chest extending well below the elbows and a slight tuck-up to the stomach (not gutty looking like some of our competitors dogs.) Heidelberg Shepherds are Very Loving and Sweet with your family, friends, acquaintances, and especially Children, BUT are absolutely fearless when the family or other pets are endangered. One Hundred and Seventy One (171) of our shepherds have finished their Championships as of 2022. We have been in the business of breeding and showing since 1978. Our dogs are AKC registered with breeding agreements. All of our Sires are at least 2, have finished with their Championship title and have passed OFA certifications (which go back 19 plus generations).
